¿Qué es lo que hace especial a la gente? Pueden ser muchas cosas, pero en mi experiencia fotografiando gente siempre encuentro que es la mirada la que me permite conectar con ellos y enseñar un pequeño pedazo de su vida, de su carácter. Son fotografías que atrapan al espectador y le abren una ventana a un mundo normalmente desconocido para él, y que ahora, puede entender un poco mejor a través de estos retratos.La mayor parte de ellos son el fruto de un encuentro casual, de un tiempo compartido hasta que el sujeto se ofrece a que le haga esta fotografía. Probablemente ellos nunca se vean, pero gracias a ellos, nosotros vemos el mundo.

What makes people special can be many things, but in my experience photographing them, I always find that it’s the gaze that allows me to connect with them and show a small piece of their life, their character. These are photographs that captivate the viewer and open a window to a world that is usually unknown to them, and that now, they can understand a little better through these portraits. Most of them are the result of a chance encounter, of shared time until the subject offers to let me take their photograph. They may never see themselves, but thanks to them, we see the world.
