Dentro del marco de PhotoEspaña, Saleta Rosón presenta “Travesía de sal” en Corner Gallery & Studio en Madrid. En este trabajo la autora se acerca a la realidad de los salares de altura y del llamado “triángulo del litio” en las regiones andinas. Espacios amenazados por la explotación indiscriminada de los recursos, por empresas mineras que ponen en peligro la continuidad de la vida de los pueblos indígenas de la zona que viven de los salares desde tiempos remotos.

Fiel a su estilo, Saleta se acerca en distintas etapas a los impresionantes paisajes de los salares, dejándose seducir por las formas, las luces y las sombras. Entra en contacto con los habitantes y se empapa del sabor del territorio, mientras va capturando las imágenes que ahora nos ofrece en esta exposición

As part of PhotoEspaña, Saleta Rosón presents Travesía de sal at Corner Gallery & Studio in Madrid. In this work, the artist explores the reality of the high-altitude salt flats and the so-called “lithium triangle” in the Andean regions—lands threatened by the indiscriminate exploitation of resources and by mining companies that endanger the survival of Indigenous communities who have depended on these salt flats since ancient times.

True to her style, Saleta approaches the breathtaking salt flat landscapes in different stages, allowing herself to be drawn in by their shapes, lights, and shadows. She engages with the local inhabitants and immerses herself in the essence of the territory, capturing the images now presented in this exhibition.
