La concepción del paisaje en nuestro mundo contemporáneo se ha vuelto increíblemente compleja, constituyendo casi una conversación ilimitada entre una geografía humana, social y estética. Los artistas, al dejarse influenciar por la rica diversidad de culturas e identidades mestizas que subyacen en nuestros días, desarrollan en este campo sus propios patrones visuales y singularidades representacionales, transformando así el espacio que habitamos. La mirada tiene el poder de crear espacio; la forma en la que observamos y el lugar hacia el que dirigimos nuestra atención modifican el entorno en el que existimos. Donde solíamos mirar presenta tres perspectivas, tres universos, tres posturas distintas desde las que abordar el paisaje y, por ende, analizar nuestro mundo.

The conception of landscape in our contemporary world has become incredibly complex, constituting an almost limitless conversation between human, social and aesthetic geography. Artists, influenced by the rich diversity of cultures and mixed-race identities that underlie our times, develop their own visual patterns and representational singularities in this field, thus transforming the space we inhabit. The gaze has the power to create space; the way in which we observe and the place to which we direct our attention modify the environment in which we exist. Donde solíamos mirar presents three perspectives, three universes, three different postures from which to approach the landscape and, therefore, to analyze our world.
